BOREAL BIRCH SYRUP is proudly produced in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Our business is owned and operated by Dave Challen and Beth Kuiper. We learned to make birch syrup in the Yukon and started production in Thunder Bay in 2006. Birch syrup is a unique product, highly sought after in gourmet circles. The syrup has a bold flavour completely different from the more ubiquitous maple syrup. Birch syrup can be produced across Canada in the Boreal forest.
